Learn the rules for citing Canadian case law and legislation.

Legal Citation

The APA and MLA guides state that when citing legal documents (cases and statutes), it's best to use a legal citation guide. In Canada, we use the McGill Guide, currently in it's 8th edition. It's best to clarify with your professor what style is expected when citing legal documents.
