Academic Integrity Module: Start Here

This guide details the Academic Integrity Module used by University of Guelph-Humber students and instructors.

Introduction

The University of Guelph-Humber Academic Integrity Module (AIM) supports students and instructors learning about the fundamentals of academic integrity. The module defines academic integrity, explains the University of Guelph-Humber policy for academic misconduct, outlines various types of misconduct, lists relevant support services available to students and features citation style tutorials for the different programs offered at Guelph-Humber. The content, including the exercises and examples, from the original Proper Citation Tutorial (PCT) is now available within the Academic Integrity Module.

Users are evaluated on their understanding of academic integrity and citations through numerous knowledge checks and scenarios. Information and scenario questions about the concerns around the use of generative artificial intelligence tools are included as well. Upon completion of the module, the user will be able to access a certificate of completion and a badge that can be shared on their CourseLink profile. Follow the instructions in this video to generate the certificate of completion and display the badge on your CourseLink profile. AIM requires an hour, on average, to complete.
