Learning Lab

The Learning Lab in GH202 is a multi-purpose space for use by Guelph-Humber faculty and students. The lab is open Monday-Friday, 9am-9pm. The space is intended to function as:

  • Classroom
  • Instructional computer lab
  • Quiet study space for students

Equipment

The Learning Lab is equipped with the following:

  • 65 PC computers
  • Standard lab software installation
  • Remote control for raising and lowering the computers
  • Overhead projector and screen
  • Remote control for operating the projector
  • Instructor podium

Booking the Learning Lab

Program Heads and Department Heads can reserve the Learning Lab for instructional purposes or program-related events. Faculty and other groups who wish to reserve the Lab should contact their program or department head to request the reservation.

The Lab is available for booking on a first come, first served basis, Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm.

To reserve the Learning Lab, fill out the Learning Lab request form.

The touch screen control panel on the podium provides access to raising and lowering the desk computers.

After your reservation
Please ensure that the computer equipment is stored in the trays and lowered into the desks, and that the projector is switched off.

Quiet Study

When the Learning Lab is not in use for instructional purposes it is available to students for quiet study. The Lab is reserved for quiet study Monday-Friday, 6pm-9pm.
