Legal Citation

Learn the rules for citing Canadian case law and legislation.

Legal Citation

The APA and MLA guides state that when citing legal documents (cases and statutes), it is best to use a legal citation guide. In Canada, the McGill Guide, currently in it's 9th edition, is the standard. Please clarify with your professor what style is expected when citing legal documents.
